Falmouth Week fun goes on and on

The fun doesn’t end when the sun sets on Falmouth Week.

With all the excitement on the water, this year’s Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week sees the Event Square light up the town every night during the eight-day event for a medley of fantastic themed evenings and top class entertainment.

From the Westcountry themed Cider and Hog Roast Party to the tropical festivities on Caribbean Night, the square has something for everyone.

To week kicks off on Sunday with a Westcountry Cider and Hog Roast. The evening will present the best in local produce and include brilliant entertainment from farming legends The Wurzels. Best known for their number one hit “Combine Harvester” The Wurzels have continued to spread their own brand of music to themasses throughout the decades.

On Monday there will be a chance to feel the rhythm and step back into the golden age of music with Falmouth’s Got Soul. An evening dedicated to the smooth sounds from the 60s right up to the 80s with six-piece music sensations Soul Survivors.

Especially for the sailors, South West Bars will be holding a very special Fun Casino and Acoustic Night on Tuesday.

Best of the West will be a fire crackling evening offering the best in Cornish live acts on Wednesday. On the night rockers Three Minute Warning and funk band Small Wonder, not to mention Falmouth’s own Ice Cold Idiots and Polly Money, will be jamming up Events Square with heaps of energy and tons of fun for a wicked night.

On Thursday, August 13, there will be another chance to go back in time for the Massive 70s Fancy Dress Night.

Continuing the journey through time, Friday, August 14, will feature We Love the 80s v The Real 90s Party with pop sensation Rozalla and cheeky boys D:ream in the line-up.

For the big finale Event Square is turning up the heat to a tropical fever in Falmouth’s legendary Caribbean Night on Saturday.

Whipping up a wave will be superb reggae star Natty Wailer performing live with his fantastic nine-piece Jamaican band The Reggae Vibes. If that’s not enough Falmouth boys Back Beat will also be giving an exclusive performance on the night.
