Investigations are taking place this morning after flames ripped through two boats at Ponsharden near Penryn.
Firefighters from Falmouth and Redruth were sent to the boatyard there just after 3am.
Initial reports suggested people may still be trapped onboard at least one of the boats.
Firefighters worked with police, ambulance personnel and Falmouth Coastguard’s cliff rescue team to carry out a search, until everyone was found.
Gas cylinders were at risk of being set alight at one stage.
Four firefighters put out the fire, with others then staying to damp down the embers throughout this morning.
At 9am a fire investigation was due to begin into the cause of the fire.
A fire service spokesperson said: “The fire service is concerned that people living in boats, mobile, homes and tented structures may not have the necessary information on fire safety and smoke detection.”
People living in this time of home can call the free phone number 0800 3581999 for free advice and smoke detectors.
