The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is opening the doors of its store for free next month as part of a national heritage scheme.
The museum is taking part in the annual Heritage Open Days campaign and giving free tours of its store at Ponsharden.
From Thursday September 9 until Sunday September 12, curators will show visitors around boats, objects and artwork that are currently not on display in the museum.
Curator Sarah Riddle said: “Last year’s event was hugely successful and we’re very much looking forward to the open days this year. It is an annual opportunity for visitors to catch a glimpse of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at the maritime museum.”
Tours should be booked in advance and are available from 10am to 11.30am and from 2pm to 3.30pm on all four days. For further details or to book your place, contact Michael Sweeney on 01326 214558 or email michaelsweeney@nmmc.co.uk
