Fireworks will light up the sky over Falmouth for the grand finale of Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week again this year on a Friday the thirteenth.

Spectators flock to admire the spectacle that has become an integral part of the regatta week, thanks to generous sponsorship.

Sponsorship for the 2010 display has been confirmed by A&P Falmouth Ltd, Pendennis Shipyard Ltd and Falmouth Petroleum Ltd and through a joint sponsorship agreement.

The pyrotechnic extravaganza will begin at 10pm on Friday, August 13 with viewing points throughout the town and harbour front.

“I am delighted that A&P Falmouth, Pendennis Shipyard and Falmouth Petroleum Limited have agreed to sponsor the firework display for Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week, said Richard Gates, Falmouth town manager and chairman of the shore-side committee.

“We would like to thank these sponsors for their continued support. This is one of the highlights of what promises to be a very exciting week.”

Peter Child, managing director of A&P Falmouth said: “We are particularly delighted to be able to offer continued support for the finale fireworks in 2010, the 150th Anniversary of Falmouth Docks, and hope that everyone will enjoy the spectacle. Our beautiful town lends itself to these big events and A&P Falmouth, Pendennis Shipyard and Falmouth Petroleum, together the town’s largest employers, are happy to be involved and support Falmouth Week.”
