Falmouth to host international yacht contest

Both modern and classic boats will compete at a major international competition in Falmouth this summer.
The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club will host the international six-metre yachts in a ten race series with up to four races per day.
Fifteen to 20 boats are expected to enter coming from France, the Solent, and the Westcountry.
The boats will be rafted up on Pendennis marina after racing making an interesting and unusual picture for visitors to the town.
The competition will take place from Thursday May 20 for three days with a prize giving on the Sunday.
